Artist in Residency - Glen Dye

During a three-week residency at Glen Dye Estate, I had the privilege of turning wind-felled oak and ash into three bespoke greenwood chairs. Working amidst such a beautiful landscape was an inspiring reminder of the connection between material and place, and I am deeply grateful to Glen Dye estate for the experience.

Each chair carries the story of the trees from which it was born. In a quiet homage to their origins, the pieces will remain on the estate, close to the ground where the trees once stood, allowing their legacy to endure in both form and function.
